To bring your dog or cat into or back into the UK
from qualifying countries under the Pet Travel
Scheme, they must have a pet passport. This
requires first that the pet be microchipped, then
vaccinated against rabies and then blood tested. |

There are specific procedures and paperwork
that are essential and at the practice we can
help you through these.
We can also assist you in fulfilling those
requirements for animals entering countries not
covered by the Pet Travel Scheme. In addition,
we can provide advice regarding safe travel
abroad and any health issues you may encounter
in specific countries.
We suggest you take a look at the DEFRA
website. It has a large amount of very useful and
essential information on taking your pet abroad. |
