IN HOUSE LABORATORY
Blood samples taken from your pet are
analysed in our in-house laboratory and give us
valuable information about the function of many
internal organs. This can detect disease and also
give an overall picture of their general health
status.

MICROSCOPY
Much information can be gained from examining
samples under the microscope. For example,
examination of hair and skin can detect parasitic

and fungal disease. Examination of urine can
show crystals and cells
which can be helpful to
determine the health of
the kidneys and bladder.

X-RAY FACILITIES
Radiography allows us to examine the internal
structures of your pet in a non invasive manner.
It is particularly useful in identifying strange
objects like bones, stones and toys that may have
been swallowed. It is also helpful in assessing
injuries after road traffic accidents, dental disease
and heart and lung problems. In nearly all cases
it is necessary to administer a general anaesthetic
to take the x-rays.

ELECTRO-CARDIOGRAM EQUIPMENT
This equipment is essential in the diagnosis and
ongoing monitoring of heart conditions. We also
have facilities to monitor your pet's blood
pressure which may be a symptom of an
underlying condition.
